Bungie has unveiled a heap of new info on Destiny’s forthcoming DLC expansion, House of Wolves, during a live stream event yesterday.
The former Halo developer confirmed that House of Wolves will introduce three new PvP maps in the shape of Black Shield, Thieves’ Den and Widow’s Court. Furthermore, PS3 and PS4 gamers will also benefit from an exclusive map, Timekeeping.
Regarding the Trials of Osiris, Guardians will be required to obtain Etheric Light to upgrade their gear, which can be grabbed in a new daily Crucible game mode. Not only is this mode guaranteed to give you rewards, but the Crucible as a whole will cough up more goods. Providing you complete daily challenges, you’ll also have a chance at nabbing Passage Coins for Trials of Osiris, Glimmer, Motes of Light and other loot.
Furthermore, reputation and marks will be doubled, and the number of engrams you receive has also been increased. If you’re particularly skilled, you have a chance at bagging even more prizes, too, while a total of 10 new Legendary items are confirmed to appear in the Crucible as part of House of Wolves.
It has also been suggested that the new maps will be released free to all Crucible participants later down the line, similar to how Bungie went about releasing its maps for Halo years before.
House of Wolves is due out on May 19 and includes a wealth of new content, including a new Exotic ship and social spaces.
