Street Fighter 5 sales to hit 2 million, says Capcom

Capcom has predicted sales of two million copies worldwide for Street Fighter 5 on PS4 and PC.

The Japanese publisher and developer said during its latest earnings call that the hotly anticipated fighting game will be released in the current fiscal year. That means we will see the title, which is a console exclusive to PS4, out no later than March 31, 2016.

Previously, Capcom said that SFV would be released in spring 2016, so a March release date sounds completely possible at present. Still, there’s a chance we could see it out slightly earlier than that, though a 2015 launch seems unlikely at this point.

Street Fighter V was announced at the PlayStation Experience in December 2014. Capcom is also bringing a remastered version of Ultra Street Fighter IV to PS4 this summer, complete with all DLC.
