The developer behind the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4-exclusive sequel, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, has welcomed back a former employee after a nine-month stint at Ubisoft.
David Ballard worked at Naughty Dog from 2009-2014 where he was involved with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and The Last of Us, before departing for Ubisoft to develop a ‘AAA Next-Gen title’ as Senior Environment Artist.
However, Ballard’s LinkedIn profile confirms he has now returned to Naughty Dog working as a Multiplayer Level Designer and Environment Artist at the California-based studio. While it does not explicitly state which project he’s involved with, we assume he’s working on Uncharted 4.
Uncharted 4 was originally due out in holiday 2015 but was ultimately delayed to spring 2016 to meet the high standards set by its development team. Naughty Dog recently hired a new artist for the project and confirmed it has ‘renovated‘ its facial tech for the action-adventure title.
