Tekken 7 will receive some major news early next month, Bandai Namco Games has announced on the game’s official Twitter account.
The news will pertain not only to Tekken 7 itself, but also the series’ 20th anniversary. Could we finally hear news of a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the fighting game sequel? It’s certainly possible, considering a home console version has already been all but confirmed.
Tekken 7 has been available in Japanese arcades since early 2015, though the game was conspicuous by its absence at E3 earlier this month.
As for what Namco has up its sleeves to mark the series 20th anniversary, well, that remains to be seen. Perhaps we’ll see HD re-releases of Tekken 6 or Tekken Tag Tournament 2? New characters for Tekken 7? Anything is possible at this point.
The most recent character to be unveiled for Tekken 7 was Kazumi Mishima, the mother of Kazuya and wife to Heihachi.
