Take-Two has announced that Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V has shipped over 54 million copies worldwide since its launch in September 2013.
For reference, the firm said three months ago that GTA V shipments had reached 52 million, meaning the game is still performing after nearly two years since release.
Speaking during its latest earnings call for the quarter ended June 30, the publishing giant posted revenue of $366.4 million, up 142 percent from the same period last year. In addition, Take-Two profits reached $34.2 million, significantly up on last year’s $11.2 million.
Aside from a strong performance from GTA V, Take-Two said that NBA 2K15, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and WWE 2K15 were also responsible for driving net revenue during the quarter.
