The creator behind Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has shed light on its decision to include single-player DLC in the forthcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Speaking with GameSpot, Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer revealed that the success of The Last of Us’ ‘Left Behind’ expansion was the primary inspiration behind the move.
“It worked really well for us for The Last of Us. We thought we could put together a really great piece of content as well [for Uncharted 4]," said Meyer.
“I think we rose to the challenge for The Last of Us, so we decided we’re going to take another shot at it [for Uncharted 4].”
Don’t expect to see The Last of Us’ character progression system implemented into Nathan Drake’s next outing, however, as it’s been ruled out. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out exclusively on PlayStation 4 on March 18, 2016. Check out Meyer narrating a new playthrough of the E3 2015 gameplay demo here.
