Activision has released a new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, introducing microtranscations into the mix.
The update brings the military shooter to version 1.04, and aside from various gameplay tweaks and changes, allows gamers to purchase Call of Duty Points to spend on a number of buffs, including Rare Supply Drops from the game’s multiplayer component or Vials of Liquid Divinium for use in Zombies Mode. If that wasn’t enough, players can also spend their hard-earned cash on new character slots and various cosmetic items.
Elsewhere, the update gives players the ability to drop into a friend’s match that’s already in progress, while new Prestige icons have been introduced. Gamers now also have access to three new secondary weapons: the Butterfly Knife, Brass Knuckles, and the Wrench.
The list of patch notes is massive, so be sure to visit Activision’s official website for the full lowdown.
