U.S. retailer Target has leaked a Friday, November 4 release date for the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
A user on Reddit posted a shot of the packaging art for a ‘Legacy Edition’ of the upcoming military shooter, which also seems to confirm that this version of the game will ship with a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Right now it’s worth pointing out that publisher Activision has yet to announce Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare or a remastered Call of Duty 4, although a reveal appears to be imminent according to previous reports.
This year’s instalment in the multi-million selling franchise is being developed by Infinity Ward. The studio’s last effort was Call of Duty: Ghosts back in 2013.
Call of Duty is currently enjoying a three-year development cycle for each new iteration, juggled between three companies: Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch. The series recently partnered with Sony to bring downloadable content to PS4 before any other platform, similar to what Microsoft enjoyed in the last generation of consoles.
