Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare won’t have campaign co-op

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will not feature campaign co-op.

The upcoming military shooter’s campaign, which introduces space combat for the first time in the franchise, will be a single-player only experience.

That’s not to say co-op won’t be included in the game at all, but it’ll be limited to Infinite Warfare’s dedicated Zombies mode

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare sees gamers stepping into the well-worn boots of a commander of one of Earth’s last warships, as they take part in action-packed campaign that sees players battling against a relentless enemy.

Infinity Ward has revealed that air and space combat will be a key aspect of Infinite Warfare’s gameplay, and has promised gamers can expect a ‘seamless, immersive campaign experience.’

The game is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on November 4, 2016. Unlike past entries, Infinite Warfare will not receive a cross-generation release, at least not as far as PS3 goes.

Those of you who plump for one of many special editions of Infinite Warfare will also receive a high-definition remaster of 2007’s critically acclaimed first-person shooter, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
