Dead Rising 1 is heading to PS4, suggests Trophy leak

Capcom will release a PlayStation 4 version of the original Dead Rising at some point in the near future, according to a leaked Trophy listing for the game on Exophase (via RashBandicoot).

The action-horror title is listed on site as having 51 Trophies in total, including the coveted Platinum gong.

It’s worth noting that Capcom has not officially confirmed Dead Rising for PS4 at this point, so take this news with a pinch of salt until we hear otherwise.

Dead Rising was originally released on the Xbox 360 almost ten years ago, and was later ported to the Wii in the shape of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. However, Frank West’s undead rampage has been conspicuously absent from PlayStation formats ever since.

Dead Rising 2 turned up in 2010 and shambled onto both PS3 and Xbox 360, although the most recent entry in the series, Dead Rising 3, was an Xbox One-exclusive back in 2013. Dead Rising 4 is currently in development as a timed-exclusive for Microsoft’s latest home console.

Capcom’s over-the-top zombie series has also made the jump to the silver-screen, so to speak, with the release of Dead Rising: Watchtower and the upcoming Dead Rising: Endgame. The former starred comedian Rob Riggle as Frank West.
