"I feel like if they were to pursue it again, if they were to have another story for Ellie or Joel or that whole world, I would totally jump on board," Johnson said. "But you know there’s also a part of me that thinks, ‘Man, the story could stand alone,’ and sometimes we should just leave it alone. If they were to make another one, though, I would love to be a part of it."

Elsewhere, Johnson also touched base on the planned movie adaptation of The Last of Us, saying that she’d like to see it materialise, though wasn’t sure how it was coming along. Joking about a possible cameo appearance, Johnson said, “Yeah, I’d be a Clicker.

The Last of Us was released on PS3 in June 2013 and was later ported to the PS4 the following year with enhanced visuals. The game picked up rave reviews from critics and has sold over eight million copies worldwide to date.

The Last of Us movie was confirmed a few years back with Naughty Dog set to be heavily involved in production. Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones fame has been attached to play the role of Ellie, although the film is currently stuck in development hell.
