The first Battlefield 1 reviews have landed!
Battlefield 1 hits stores worldwide today for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and marks a significant shift in the direction of the multi-million selling first-person shooter franchise.
Eschewing the contemporary war zones of recent iterations, Battlefield 1 takes gamers back to the brutal and bloody conflict of World War I, and with it, introduces a host of authentic weaponry and vehicles.
If you’re not duking it out in the trenches with shovels, shotguns, pistols, and bolt-action rifles, then you’ll be taking to the skies in classic bi-planes or hopping into the belly of tanks and armored vehicles to wage war across the globe.
In addition the action-packed single-player campaign, you’ll also be able to get involved in a comprehensive online component, as you join a squad of like-minded gamers to conquer the battlefield in various game modes such as Conquest and Domination.
Battlefield 1 includes a host of different classes to play as, including Assault, Medic, Support, and Elite. Performing actions during the game, such as scoring kills and healing teammates, nets you XP, which is then used to increase your rank within each class, unlocking additional content. Powered by the Frostbite engine, Battlefield 1 ranks among the most visually stunning games of the generation, with fully destructible environments and weapon customisation available and are now more dynamic than ever before.
