Mass Effect Andromeda PS4 Pro will ‘look spectacular,’ says BioWare

BioWare has teased how Mass Effect Andromeda is shaping up on PlayStation 4 Pro ahead of its hotly anticipated launch in early 2017.

Mass Effect Andromeda PS4 Pro is going to be a visual treat

Speaking during a chat with fans on Twitter, BioWare’s General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, said that not only the upcoming sci-fi RPG outing maintain a lot of what made the original Mass Effect trilogy so special, but the PS4 Pro edition of the game is going to be quite the looker in terms of visuals.

Ultimately, that’ll be up to those who play it, but I think it has a ton of what made the [original] trilogy special,” he said. Furthermore, when asked how the PS4 Pro version will look in 4K, Flynn commented, “Yeah I think that will look spectacular.”

Electronic Arts has yet to set a concrete Mass Effect Andromeda release date, although has revealed it will ship in the first quarter of 2017. A recent leak suggested the game launch on March 21.

Mass Effect Andromeda takes place during a separate part of the galaxy to the original trilogy featuring Commander Shepard, and stars a new protagonist in the shape of Ryder. Unlike previous games, the male and female versions of the character are related as they’re actually siblings.

PS4 Pro was announced during Sony’s PlayStation Meeting in New York City back in September. The console will offer enhanced specs in comparison to the standard PS4 console, and allows for 4K gaming and improved frame rates. The PS4 Pro is scheduled for release on November 10, priced at $399/£349.
