Namco has yet to announce a concrete Tekken 7 release date, stating only that the game will ship on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in early 2017. The game was originally released in the arcades on March 18, 2015, and as received numerous updates ever since, the biggest of which being Fated Retribution.

Tekken 7’s story focuses on the on-going Mishima family feud between Kazuya and Heihachi, which will reach its conclusion in this latest instalment. The game also introduces Kazumi Mishima, Heihachi’s wife, who was long thought to have perished before the events of the original Tekken.

The game will introduce a number of new characters alongside series regulars including Paul, King, Law, Nina, and Jin. In addition, Namco has beefed up the gameplay, implementing a new Tail Spin attack and Rage Arts, which can be used to extend combos and deal huge amounts of damage to players, respectively.
