Horizon: Zero Dawn is scheduled for release on PS4 in the U.S. on February 28, 2017 and in Europe on March 2. The game is the first new IP from Guerrilla Games since the Amsterdam-based studio launched Killzone on the PlayStation 2 back in the mid-2000s, and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by giant, mechanised beasts. Players control Aloy, a seasoned hunter who must salvage vital components from her giant adversaries using only primitive weaponry—there’s no gunplay here whatsoever.
As one of the biggest first-party exclusives of the year, Horizon will take full advantage of Sony’s PS4 Pro console, offering improved visuals and frame rate. Find out how the standard version of Horizon compares to its high-end counterpart in our dedicated article, and check out the latest gameplay footage while you’re at it.
