BioWare has confirmed launch details on the Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer gameplay, revealing the online component for its hotly anticipated sci-fi RPG will ship with 25 character kits and all major alien races.
In addition, players will be able to get to grips with over 40 unique weapons plucked straight from Andromeda’s single-player campaign, and there’s five maps to tuck into upon release: Firebase Zero, Firebase Icebreaker, Firebase Magma, Firebase Derelict, and Firebase Sandstorm.

BioWare recently confirmed that the online portion of the game will feature microtransactions for those who want to purchase extra in-game points, though pleasingly, all additional multiplayer content will be free.
Mass Effect Andromeda will ship for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in the U.S. on March 21 and in Europe on March 23. The game takes place hundreds of years following the Reaper invasion depicted in the original trilogy, and sees newcomer Ryder exploring the titular Andromeda galaxy to find a new safe haven for humanity.
