GameStop Italy and a number of other outlets have seemingly leaked the Destiny 2 release date ahead of its anticipated reveal at E3 2017.
According to the images, the hotly anticipated sequel to Bungie’s shared-world shooter will drop on September 8, 2017, which puts it out around the same time the Month of Mayhem Strikes wrap up for the upcoming Destiny Age of Triumph event. GameStop also has posted up what looks like some official Destiny 2 artwork.
Publisher Activision has yet to officially announce a Destiny 2 release date as of yet, so take this with a pinch of salt until we hear otherwise. Nonetheless, the images do look pretty legit, and we already know that Destiny 2 will be arriving before the end of the year. Plus, September is always a big month as far as the series goes, so it would definitely align with previous release schedules.
