Sony has today released PS4 system update 4.70 for users to download, as the format holder continues to tweak and improve the performance of its flagship home console.
In other words, don’t get too excited for any major new features this time around, with Sony’s patch notes confirming that PS4 software update 4.70 simply “improves the quality of the system performance.” There’s also some new tournament goodies to tuck into, although that’s about as exciting as it gets.
The console’s last major patch came in the shape of PS4 update 4.50, which added a number of extra features to enjoy including custom wallpapers, PS4 Pro Boost Mode, and support for external hard drives. Despite this, the update did cause some outrage among gamers due to issues with the notification system.
Make sure you fire up your console and download PS4 update 4.70 now to bring your system up to date.
