Developer Vicarious Visions has released new footage of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy for PlayStation 4 ahead of its highly anticipated release at the end of the month.
This latest Crash Bandicoot PS4 gameplay looks at the stage Future Frenzy, which is taken from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Check it out below.
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is due for release exclusively on PS4 on June 30, 2017. The game includes three titles, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, fully remade from the ground-up for Sony’s current-generation hardware. As such, each game sports vastly improved high-definition visuals and sound effects, plus a unified checkpoint/save system. Trophy hunters will be glad to know that there’s three juicy Platinums up for grabs to boot.
Those of you hoping for future Crash Bandicoot PS4 remakes may be in luck too, as Vicarious Visions has refused to rule out polishing up other titles in the series, notably the fan-favorite Crash Team Racing. As for a brand new Crash Bandicoot game, that remains up in the air as long as publisher Activision still holds the rights to the franchise.
Crash Bandicoot originally started out life as a PlayStation-exclusive franchise under development at Naughty Dog in the mid-90s. The studio worked on the first three games plus the aforementioned Crash Team Racing before moving onto Jak & Daxter for the PS2, after which Crash found itself handed around numerous developers and subsequently becoming a multi-format franchise.
