Activision has announced that those of you who participate in the upcoming Call of Duty WW2 beta later this summer will receive exclusive in-game bonus content.
The beta will be kicking off later this month for PlayStation 4, and if you participate in the teaser, you’ll net the exclusive MP Private Beta Combat Pack. This bonus in-game content features a helmet, calling card, and an emblem that will be displayed to all your online buddies, so they’ll know that you participated in the teaser.
Activision noted that the Combat Pack bonus content won’t be distributed until the game launches this November. The Call of Duty WW2 beta kicks off on August 25, and is available for those who pre-ordered the game for Sony’s flagship home console.
Call of Duty WW2 is scheduled for a worldwide release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on November 3, 2017. The game is the first entry in the multi-million selling first-person shooter series to be set in World War Two since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War, and follows the latter stages of the conflict as the U.S. 1st Infantry Division steadily push back the Nazis throughout occupied Europe.
In an effort to offer a more realistic gameplay experience, Call of Duty WW2 will eschew a number of popular mechanics from the series, including the unlimited sprint and regenerating health.
Outside of the main campaign, the game will offer a new War Mode that offers a series of linked skirmishes based on actual WWII battles, plus a comprehensive multiplayer suite where players can link up in the new Headquarters zone.
If that wasn’t enough, the game also sees the return of the fan-favorite Nazi Zombies mode. Check out the first trailer for the undead spin-off here.
The Call of Duty franchise currently operates on a three-year development cycle between Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch. Sony is currently in a timed-exclusivity partnership with Activision, which ensures any downloadable content for its games will be released first for the PS4.
