ps4 update 5.0

PS4 update 5.0 has yet to go into its beta phase before its launch later this year, but details have been leaked.

Eurogamer claims to have obtained a copy of the latest PS4 firmware patch notes, which confirm that the following features will be available:

1. Ability to stream from PS4 Pro to Twitch at 1080p/60fps
2. Notifications added to PS4 quick menu
3. Ability to follow any user
4. Ability to block users
5. Choose if you only want existing friends or anybody to follow you
6. Introduction of family account with multiple accounts in a family
7. Set parental controls on each account
8. New web application to manage family accounts via desktop or phone
9. View system notifications from Quick Menu
10. Push notifications for events, comment notifications
11. Link broadcasts in VR mode to PlayStation Community channels

We’re unsure whether this is the full list of changes coming in PS4 update 5.0, so we’ll have to hang fire for the release of the official patch notes, but it doesn’t look like the much requested PSN Name Change is coming, nor many of the features that Sony was recently surveying gamers about.
