Sony has announced that a PlayStation Move update is in the pipeline following confirmation of a new PSVR model.
New PS Move controller boasts improved functionality
According to the Japanese PlayStation Blog, the motion controller will receive a few tweaks to its design, including a new micro-USB port.
In addition, the battery size has also been bumped up. The original model featured a 1380 mAh battery to power the device, while this new iteration includes a more powerful 1900 mAh variation.
There’s no word yet on a PS Move update release date as far as the U.S. and Europe goes, although we’ll keep you posted.
Sony launched the PS Move in fall 2010, where it was compatible with a range of new-wave PS3 games. Recently, the device has been paired with the PSVR, where it is used for precision control within the virtual game world.
