The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta is now officially live for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One pre-order customers.
Those of you who have access can now download the teaser for the science-fiction shooter, which clocks in at 15.3GB on PS4.
Some users are reporting difficulty in accessing the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta on PS4. In that case, you may need to queue it up from the web store or search for it manually on the PlayStation Store via your console.
Those of you who have not pre-ordered DICE’s latest Star Wars game will not gain access to the beta until October 6.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta details
EA has confirmed that the beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will feature a number of maps and game modes to try out.
Players will be able to hop into the action as numerous forces from the Star Wars universe, taking part in battles on Naboo, Fondor, and Takodana. There’s also various challenges and daily rewards to keep you plugging away at the beta until it wraps on October 9.
Game modes include Galactic Assault, Starfighter, Strike, and Arcade. As well as on-foot missions, you can also get a taste of the Battlefront 2’s air combat as you take to the skies to take down or defend a mighty Star Destroyer.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 single-player campaign is not featured in the beta, which will be a multiplayer-only affair.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is scheduled for a worldwide release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on November 17, 2017.
As mentioned, the game features a dedicated single-player component, which DICE added in response to criticism from the original game. Battlefront 2 also features content spanning all three major Star Wars eras: The original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the sequel trilogy.
