Andriasang is reporting that Japanese publishing giant 5pb’s announced it will be expanding its output to include support for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console.
Confirmation comes via a recent Twitcast by 5pb boss Chiyomaru Shikura, who also allegedly hinted that NGP development could be on the cards at some point, noting how it would be easy to port PS3 games to the pint-sized platform.
"It is the era of multiplatform," he commented. "I want as many people as possible to play."
5pb’s works predominantly features Xbox 360 and PSP software, with the company having cut its teeth publishing a heap of adventure-based games including the likes of Memories Off, Steins; Gate and Chaos; Head.
Shikura himself is currently involved in a collaborative project with Metal Gear father Hideo Kojima and Grasshopper’s Goichi Suda. We’ll be sure to bring you more details on 5pb’s future endeavours as they break.
