Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer confirmed during yesterday’s Xbox Game Showcase that a new Forza game is launching next year to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the release of the first Xbox.
The executive didn’t go into any further details about the new Forza game, only mentioning it alongside a number of other key franchises that will be receiving new entries in 2026.
I’m excited to share that players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, Forza, Gears of War E-day and a return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning.

Now that Microsoft is bringing many of its first-party games to Nintendo and Sony formats, there’s every chance that the new Forza game will also arrive on the PS5. The franchise has already made its debut on the system with the release of Forza Horizon 5 back in April, which according to a report in early May, had already sold 1.4 million copies worldwide.

The original Forza Motorsport launched for the Xbox back in 2005, and in 2012 the series receive the arcade spinoff Forza Horizon, with the series alternating between the simulation-based series and the arcade games ever since.
