Assassin’s Creed Revelations creative director Alexandre Amancio has assured fans that Ubisoft’s targeting review scores of 90-plus for the stealthy sequel.
Chatting with the folks at Game Informer, Amancio quashed fears that Ezio’s swansong will be rushed to market, commenting, "Production itself takes about a year, but keep in mind we’ve planned it far in advance.”
"It’s not like a hundred people crunching it for a year. It’s a huge team across many studios with different types of expertise and we fit them all together.
"We always aim for a 90-plus game."
Elsewhere, he also teased that Revelations, as the name implies, will provide the answer to many mysteries that fans have been clamouring for since the series’ second instalment.
Be warned though, as the following text contains spoilers.
"We decided to give players a lot of the answers they’ve been waiting for since AC II," explained Amancio. "Things with Minerva, Juno, a lot of details of the end of the world plotline in 2012. As we get closer and closer to the actual 2012 marker, the franchise is concluding its major opus."
"We’re going to reveal a lot of stuff about the first civilisation storyline, the Ezio and Altair storylines and explain why Ezio is so important to the franchise… What role Altair plays in that destiny, and how Desmond fits in," he added.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be sneaking into stores in November 2011.
