Up in the sky, is that a plane? Well, actually it could be multiple planes as it looks like three of the classic Ace Combat games that graced the PS2 console era could be getting the remaster treatment.
Folks at Gematsu spotted a Project Manager opening at Mid-Tenshoku,a Japanese job site. The job listing is seeking a project manager with experience managing a team of 15 or more for a multiplatform project. Here’s where it gets interesting: Under the ‘Welcome’ category in the job posting it reads (via Google translate): “Those who are deeply involved in all three of the software Ace Combat “4”, “5” and “0” for PS2 For example”.
Gematsu has a better translation: “Someone with deep knowledge of the PS2 titles Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, and Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.”
So could Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: Unsung War & Ace Combat Zero: Belkan War remasters be on their way? Lets hope this is true as they were some of the most critically-acclaimed aerial combat games from the PS2 generation.
