Koei Tecmo has announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2024 this week that action-RPG Fairy Tail 2 will launch on December 13, 2024 for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and has provided new details on the game’s combat system in a fresh trailer.
Fairy Tail 2 will include enhanced real-time battles with a magical flavour, with guild members able to use Link Attacks and Unison Raid to attack in cooperation with their allies to dish out punishment to enemies. Combat requires players to balance speed, precision and synergy to overcome their foes, while the new character progression system will allow you manage your skill progression as you unlock character stories and advance the story.

Elsewhere, Koei Tecmo confirmed that you can now pre-order the two special editions of the game — Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box and Fairy Tail 2 Combo Set. The former includes the game, the Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2 visual art book, and Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish. The Combo Set meanwhile everything above plus a Special Illustrated Canvas Art.
Fairy Tail 2 is due out on Dec. 13 for PS5, PS4 and Switch.
