Development of AEW: Fight Forever has reportedly been marred by tension between the Yuke’s and All-Elite Wrestling teams, with the relationship between the studio and Kenny Omega in particular being strained.
That’s according to a report from Sports Gamers Online, with sources claiming that Omega has become frustrated and “hating” working with Yuke’s. One source said that it has seemed like Yuke’s was trying to “take advantage” of Omega during this time.
Elsewhere, the report reveals that AEW: Fight Forever is “way over budget” at this stage, and its development has seen numerous arguments over its direction and constraints. Speaking of which, the budget issues have seen some features cut or reduced in scope.

As a result of the tensions between Yuke’s and AEW, it may be the case that this project will be a “one and done” affair.
It can be repaired, but it comes down to desire. If either side doesn’t want to continue, then AEW will look for a new partner.
AEW: Fight Forever is scheduled for release in 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
