Remedy‘s Thomas Puha has posted on ResetEra that Alan Wake 2 PS5 Pro details will be shared in the coming weeks, following reports online that the survival horror game runs at 840p @ 60 FPS on Sony’s high-end console.
Details from the Digital Foundry Direct Weekly #180 were posted online over the weekend, which detailed the performance of a number of games running on PS5 Pro. Among them was Alan Wake 2, which caused a lot of backlash for its perceived poor performance.
However, it’s worth noting that the 840p is just the internal resolution, not the final output resolution following PSSR has weaved its magic wand and upscaled to 4K.
In response, Puha had the following to say:
I had to check Era during weekend Lol. Remedy’s games and resolution discussion pops up every once in a while. Image quality matters more than resolution, not that I’m confirming anything. We’ll drop some details on the PS5 Pro version of Alan Wake 2 in the coming weeks with some assets too. I think the version will be a pleasant surprise, but hard to tell these days.
