Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra, has offered up a few nuggets on Remedy’s highly anticipated Alan Wake 2, revealing the game will be a ‘true next-gen showcase.’
Posting on Twitter, Baker, who has a pretty solid track record when it comes to insider gaming gossip, also revealed that Alan Wake 2 is pretty far along in development, which is to be expected considering the game is due out this year.

Still, Remedy has said that the game is definitely on track for a 2023 launch, so hopefully it won’t see any delays.
The original Alan Wake was released for Xbox 360 back in 2010, and was ported to the PC a few years later. While a sequel was on the cards at some point in the last 10 years or so, it was scrapped in favour of Quantum Break and later, Control.
Fortunately, Remedy decided to resurrect the franchise and announced at The Game Awards 2021 that Alan Wake 2 was officially in production.
