Alone In The Dark Can Be Beaten In 8 Hours If You Rush, But You’ll Need At Least 2 Playthroughs To Get The Whole Story

Pieces Interactive has revealed in a FAQ on Steam for Alone in the Dark that players can finish the game in eight hours if they rush, although noted it needs at least two playthroughs to fully appreciate the narrative — one for each of the main protagonists.

If you rush through the main story, a playthrough will take approximately 8 hours, but keep in mind that you will need at least two playthroughs to get the whole story (one as Edward, one as Emily).

Previously, the studio told Gaming Bolt in an interview that each of the campaign’s will last players around 6 – 10 hours in length.

Alone in the Dark is the long-awaited revival of the venerable survival horror franchise, and is described as a love letter to the original game as players follow one of two protagonists — Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood. Set in the 1920s, Alone in the Dark opens as Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing, and teams up with Carnby as they investigate Derceto Manor.

After two delays, Alone in the Dark will launch on March 20, 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
