SEGA’s website recently updated the release date for Obsidian’s anticipated espionage action-RPG Alpha Protocol to spring 2010. With the original release being in October, this pushes the title back nearly half a year.
So far, SEGA has not provided an official explanation for the delay, but this doesn’t come as a huge surprise since some retailers recently changed the game’s release date to 2010.
We are trying to figure out what could have caused such massive upset in the game’s production, but perhaps the delay is due to the big titles getting an October release. Hopefully this will mean a smoother, more complete package, though only time will tell whether or not Alpha Protocol is worth the trouble. We’ll have more on this as details unfold.
