Brash Entertainment has announced plans to release a videogame adaptation of the forthcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks live action movie later this year.
According to the developers, who formed with a USD 400 million funding earlier this year, the game will take the form of a rhythm-based party title and will feature a total of 40 tracks, including ‘We’re the Chipmunks… C-H-I-P-M-U-N-K’, All the Small Things (Blink 182), Heartbreak Hotel (Elvis Presley), It’s Tricky (Run DMC), All Star (Smashmouth) and Shiny Happy People (REM).
The movie itself is due out on December 14th, and stars Jason Lee of My Name Is Earl fame as the trios long-suffering father, Dave Seville. Alvin and the Chipmunks is due for release on PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, DS and Wii on December 4th. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
