Last week, we reported that the PS4 Neo release date had been leaked courtesy of a listing on Amazon.
On the retailer’s Spanish website, it stated that the upgraded PlayStation 4 model would be launching on October 13, 2016 with a price tag of €399.

However, it’s now been confirmed that the listing was an error, and that the launch date and price was actually referring to the PlayStation VR release date.
The launch window for PS4 Neo is still expected to be by the end of 2016 to coincide with the launch of PlayStation VR in October. However, analyst, Michael Pachter, recently predicted that fans won’t be able to get their hands on the new PS4 console until 2017.
PS4 Neo is a high-end PlayStation console capable of running PSVR games more efficiently. Leaked PS4 Neo specifications (though unconfirmed) reveal that the new model will be able to run 4K content and features a more powerful CPU and GPU.
