EA has today announced that Andrew Wilson, who previously was in charge of EA Sports, is the new CEO of the company.
Speaking on EA’s official website, Wilson said "Let me start by saying I am deeply honored and humbled to become EA’s CEO." He goes to talk about his start at EA Australia when he first began at EA back in 2000.
Wilson then went on to say that "I envision EA as the World’s Greatest Games Company. This is not about what we are aiming for or what we will become. Rather, it is about an unfaltering commitment to what we will be every day. This is an attitude that must drive our culture as one team."
Wilson declared that he is committed to the transition to digital games as well as releasing the best games possible.
This may have come to a surprise to many given the belief that it would be Peter Moore who would be the next CEO replacing John Riccitello, who was the previous CEO.
Do you think Andrew Wilson is the right appointment for EA?
