Another reboot on the cards, this time it’s for Spy Hunter on PS Vita, 3DS

Classic combat racer Spy Hunter is being rebooted for PlayStation Vita and 3DS this fall, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced.

The news comes as the franchise quickly approaches its 30th anniversary next year, with the original game having hit arcades back in 1983.

Developed by TT Fusion, the reboot cast players in the shoes of the mysterious Agent, who gets behind the wheel of a high-tech G-6155 Interceptor supercar complete with an array of advanced weaponry.

The vehicle allows players to travel across a variety of environments thanks to the Interceptor’s ability to transition seamlessly between supercar, off-road assault vehicle and speed boat. Furthermore, the car’s weapons and vehicles can also be upgraded, and players will gain support from an unmanned aerial support drone.

Samantha Ryan, Warner’s Senior Vice President of Production and Development, commented: “Spy Hunter’s classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita and 3DS players a new, adrenaline-charged experience.”

“Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customisation with greater hands controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras.”
