Apex Legends developer Respawn revealed the first in its line of seasonal lead-up trailers with Season 15: Eclipse getting its initial cinematic trailer on Monday.
It introduced Tressa Smith, known in the games as Catalyst, a new trans legend. She’s a great continuation of Apex Legend’s commitment to feature diverse characters.
We also now know that Season 15: Eclipse will launch on November 1, 2022, and that we’ll get a launch trailer for the new season on October 20, 2022.

As far as what type of legend Catalyst will be, the brief bit Respawn says about her is,
“The experienced terraformer and defensive conjurer Tressa Smith uses her remarkable control of ferrofluid to manipulate the battlefield.”
Right now, it’s looking like she’ll be a more defensive character. What her specific abilities will be don’t seem clear yet, hopefully we’ll find out more when the next trailer premiere’s on Thursday.
Season 15: Eclipse will also introduce a brand new map, which we’ll hopefully get our first proper look at on Thursday as well.
