The latest trailer for Apex Legends upcoming Season 15: Eclipse introduces players to what Catalyst will look like on the battlefield.
In today’s cinematic trailer, we get a sneak peek at her passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities, and already it’s looking like Catalyst could be a big shake-up to the Apex meta.
For one, her tactical seems to stop enemy players in their tracks with a ball of ferrofluid, while her ultimate being a giant wall of ferrofluid looks like the first real counter to both Seer and Bloodhound.
Her passive was tougher to spot, though it could potentially be related to how the goop she fires interacts with the rest of the map. We’ll hear more official wording from Respawn soon enough surely, as the first gameplay trailer for Season 15 is set to premiere on October 24, 2022.

Catalyst is clearly a defensive-focused legend, though what makes her uniquely useful is how her wall is able to do what no other defensive legend can, and that is both protect your team from physical attacks and from being scanned by the enemy.
It’ll be interesting to see how she’ll change the Apex Games.
