Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer has been confirmed for the PS5 alongside the previously-announced Nintendo Switch 2 version, with the game due on June 5, 2025. In addition, the PS4 version of Arcade Archives Ridge Racer is out on the same day.
The retro racer will arrive on Sony’s latest home console with Original Mode, High Score Mode, and Caravan Mode sene in the Arcade Archives series, alongside the new Time Attack Mode. This does exactly what it says on the tin: complete the game in the shortest time possible. In addition, more save slots have been implemented alongside a rewind feature, as well as quick start feature.

Ridge Racer was originally released in 1993 by Bandai Namco Entertainment and powered by Namco System 22 hardware. The game was ported to the original PlayStation in December 1994 as a launch title, spawning a hugely successful franchise in the process that became synonymous with the PlayStation brand.
