Due for release at 7pm GMT (2pm ET) on November 19, the new patch will also include:
- Holiday Content
- Vsync On/Off/Adaptive Options for increased frame-rate
- Memory savings of over 300MB! Consequent stability improvements.
- Fixed memory leak with viewing Explorer Notes.
- Performance increase of approximately 7% due to use of new PhysX libraries
- Various invite & crash fixes
- Content up thru PC v252.0
Though Studio Wildcard developed the game, it was Abstraction Games that worked on the PS4 port. According to an interview with PlayStation Universe, the developer says it’s targeting 60fps and hopes it can achieve that by the time the game launches in Spring 2017.
Currently ARK is in its early access phase, meaning that you can buy the game in full but it will constantly be being improved based on player feedback and issues that arise up until launch.
Abstraction says the game will be supported well after launch too, with regular updates adding new content.
