Assassin’s Creed 4’s PS-exclusive content will remain exclusive

The extra content that the PlayStation 3 and 4 versions of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag contain will remain exclusive to those platforms after suggestions that it was timed exclusive.

In a statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft has confirmed that the 60 minutes of extra content, which features Aveline, the star of Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation which released last year for PS Vita and is getting an HD makeover, is exclusive to the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. This contrasts the statement made in Sony’s The Best Place to Play video that was released last week, which said that the content, along with the extra content for Watch_Dogs, was exclusive for six months. Though it is unclear at the moment what the situation is with the Watch_Dogs content as a result of this PlayStation fans can be happy that the additional content available at launch will be exclusive indefinitely.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag released today in the US and will release tomorrow in the UK. Are you setting sail this week or are you waiting for the PS4?
