Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India video dives deep into gameplay and new features

With the launch date of Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India looming on February 11, 2016, Ubisoft has released a new trailer which gives us an in-depth look at the gameplay and features we can expect from its PS4 and PS Vita platforming adventure.

A spin-off to the main Assassin’s Creed series, Chronicles consists of a trilogy of games which kicked off with Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China last year, and will conclude with Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia later this year.

The action in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is set against the backdrop of a war between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company. In the role of Arbaaz Mir, players are tasked with using stealth, combat and a variety of weapons to traverse the 2.5D platformer avoiding and taking out enemies, while attempting to retrieve a mysterious artefact that once belonged to the Assassin’s Order.

The first game in the trilogy was met with mixed reviews. In our own Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China review we praised the visuals and stealth mechanics, but thought that poor level design and dull combat hampered the experience. Here’s hoping Ubisoft has took on board feedback!
