Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature a map that is comparable in size to Constantinople from Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Paris from Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Both of those games weren’t exactly small although they were not as massive as the last few Assassin’s Creed games such as Odyssey or Valhalla, which were sprawling open-world RPGs. However, it’s not always the size of the map that counts, but rather, how dense it is.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in Baghdad, and focuses on Basim, a character who previously appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Here, we follow Basim from his humble beginnings as a street thief to when he becomes a member of the Assassin Brotherhood, which sees him stealthily parkouring his way across rooftops and employing the latest technology to dispatch his target.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release on October 12, 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. You can read our hands-off impressions of the game here.
