Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be getting a free update this December that’ll include a new game+ mode and an optional permadeath mode that players can turn on no matter which difficulty they’ve selected.
The news came from the game’s official Twitter account, with a short statement simply saying these modes are on their way, and the update will be available to all players for free.
“We hear you: New Game + mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available in a free update this December.” said Ubisoft.
“And for the expert Assassins, along with NG+ will come an optional permadeath mode also available across all difficulties!”
Ubisoft doesn’t provide an actual date for the update however, and only says that there will be “more details to come soon.” At any rate, we can expect it sometime this December.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was a return-to-form of sorts for Ubisoft and its popular franchise, moving away from the massive RPG’s we’ve gotten with the last three mainline games, to something more akin to the first few games in the series.
It was a shift that seems to have paid off, as Mirage continues to enjoy strong sales globally.
