The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the movie adaptation of Assassin’s Creed has been delayed until August 2015.
Based on Ubisoft’s multi-million dollar selling stealth-action franchise, the film was previously due to hit cinemas on June 9, 2015. However, it will now arrive on the big screen on August 7, 2015.
Assassin’s Creed will star Michael Fassbender, and is in development at Ubisoft and New Regency. Prior to undergoing a rewrite, it was expected to hit cinemas as early as this year.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is the latest entry in the video game franchise, which arrived on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29. The game will launch on PS4 and Xbox One this month.
