Some of the Assassin's Creed Odyssey romance options have been confirmed by Ubisoft. For the first time in the series, players will be able to strike up a relationship with various characters in the game.
Via Stevivor, we get a first look at some of the dialogue options available in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Within the interview with Narrative Director, Melissa McCoubrey, we also get to go a bit more in-depth with the romance options available, and it goes quite deep!
Through dialogue, players will be able to have romantic relationships with some of Odyssey's NPCs. And, Ubisoft has made it totally inclusive by allowing homosexual, heterosexual, lesbian, bisexual and asexual relationships.
“If you want to be a woman and romance a woman, you can do that. If you want to be a man and romance a woman, you can do that. If you want to be a man and romance a man and a woman, you can do that,” says Melissa. “If you want to be a woman and romance a woman, you can do that. If you want to be a man and romance a woman, you can do that. If you want to be a man and romance a man and a woman, you can do that.”
The Assassin's Creed Odyssey romance options won't allow you to hook up with every character in the game. They'll be “a handful of characters” that can be romanced, says Melissa. You can also play the game as either a male or female character.
Other dialogue options will include the chance to debate with historical figures.
New Assassin's Creed Odyssey footage was shown off during the Ubisoft E3 2018 showcase earlier this week. There were also some great looking screenshots that give us a closer look at some of the environment and characters in the game.
There's no firm release date yet, but we're expecting the next installment of Ubisoft's open-world action-adventure to land in 2019.
