Assassin’s Creed Origins 60 FPS PS5 Update Is Dropping Next Week

PlayStationSize has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Origins update 1.60 is dropping next week, which includes 60 FPS support for the PS5.

According to the Assassin’s Creed Origins patch notes, it’ll include the following content:

  • “Added a Franchise Menu”
  • “Enabled higher framerate when running on PlayStation 5 console”

While the update has yet to be released, we’ve known for a while now that Ubisoft was planning on launching 60 FPS support for the stealth-action title.

Assassin’s Creed Origins was released for PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in 2017, and arrived following a one-year hiatus for the game after Ubisoft decided to take a break from the mainline series. The game takes place before the formation of the titular creed, and is set in ancient Egypt.

The game is the first in what became a new trilogy of games for Assassin’s Creed, followed by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (2018) and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (2020).
