Ubisoft has slipped yet another reference to Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix in one of its products, this time in Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
A poster for Rising Phoenix can clearly be seen in what we presume is the Abstergo section of Rogue, similar to its appearance in last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Of course, Black Flag wasn’t the first time we clapped eyes on the mysterious Rising Phoenix. A logo for the supposed video game appeared on line early last year, and while that was later outed as a fan effort, it didn’t stop retailers from posting it up as a PlayStation Vita title.
Ubisoft has made any official announcement regarding Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix, so we presume it’s just a harmless bit of in-game fun, rather than a promotion of an upcoming entry in the franchise.
To date, PS Vita has received one Assassin’s Creed title, namely 2012’s Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. The game was later ported to PlayStation 3 in high-definition.
