Assassin’s Creed Rogue is single-player only

Game Informer has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Rogue will not feature a multiplayer component.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action-adventure title has been conceived as a single-player title only, and as such eschews the competitive online element seen in previous Assassin’s Creed games.

Rogue was announced yesterday evening and takes place during the Seven Year War, starring Shay Patrick Cormac, a former assassin who converts to the Templar cause. The game will tie into the Kenway story arch, which players experienced during Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is due out on November 11.
